Bad Luck

“Someone's there!” I whispered. The shadow disappeared in an instant. As the flame flickered and then went out, darkness filled the room with fear. I heard footsteps coming from the adjacent room. “They’re looking for me,” I mumbled. My heart stopped for a second and I felt nervous all over. I tried to escape through the window but I couldn’t. All I could do was hide. I went to a corner, closed my eyes and wished that this day would soon be over.

'Looking Back'

The night before, I was sleeping in my bed wearing my orange pyjamas when the boom of thunder and a bright beam made my eyes open. The silence lasted for about a minute. Suddenly, the rain drummed wildly on the roof. My thoughts swam in my head. I couldn’t sleep. The thing that happened last night  is still in my head. Tears suddenly started rolling down my cheeks. I  realized that I should look towards the  future and not look back at the past.

High Hopes

As I got closer to the clouds, I felt more and more confident. Every step I took the stairs were getting steeper but, no one can stop me. After about ten minutes, I finally felt the need to give up because my ankles started hurting. Realizing that it will be difficult to go down, I jumped into the sea in hopes that some fishermen will find me floating in the water. I have come to a realization that the “stairway to the sky” has infinite steps and that no one can finish it

Yesterday, I noticed that it was a nice, sunny day so, I decided to go outside. I quickly grabbed my house keys, locked the door and rushed outside. I spent the whole day walking around the neighbourhood, taking pictures and enjoying the sun. When suddenly, I realized that it was getting dark. I headed back home, I was searching for my house keys when I found a hole in my pocket. I came into a realization that I had lost my keys.

The Litter

Listening to the waves crawling gently into the shore.

“I really like to walk by the beach on a hot day,” Paul said while taking the last bite of his sandwich.

As we passed by several trash bins, Paul tried to shoot his litter in the trash bin by jumping into the air but he missed it.

“Ahhhh! I missed it,” Paul said frustratingly

“Dude! Pick your litter up and put it in the right bin. People will get mad if you don’t.” Mark said.

Paul picked up his garbage and put it in the right bin.

Will Adam come home a loser or with million dollars in hand? We’ll find out after the break so, stay tuned!

We’re back and here’s Adam playing the jackpot round.

“This is it !“, I told myself. I picked the box on my right hand side. If I pick the correct box, I’m going to be a millionaire. I quickly put my hand in the box and felt a stack of something hard and what felt like paper. My thoughts were bursting in my head at that moment. With a huge grin on my face I lifted the box excitedly but, all I got was a stack of papers.

Mysterious Spot

One sunny day, Mark was walking to school when he noticed something on a tree. Being a curious kid, he was so amazed at what he saw. Using his analytical skills, he observed the tree carefully. He noticed that the tree was withering and had a spot so, he tried to water it. But the day after, he noticed that more trees had a spot. As he got closer to one of  the trees, the spot just grew and grew. After a couple of days, citizens were alarmed at what was happening to the trees. A year later, the trees were miraculously cured.
